Baghdad - MENA
Iranian Defense Minister Hussein Dehqan arrived here Monday on a planned visit to Iraq.
The visit comes at a time of a deterioration in the situation in Ramadi in Anbar after the withdrawal of the Iraqi forces from Ramadi, now under the grip of Daesh.
The visit comes at an invitation from Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled el Obaidi.
Both ministers will take up bilateral cooperation and the latest security developments in Ramadi and Anbar.
Dehqan will meet also with Iraqi President Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Haidar el Abadi along with other ministers and senior officials.
