Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr on Monday represented Egypt in a ceremony of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), held to mark the 50th anniversary of its establishment that coincides with the 2016 Manufacturing Day in Africa.
Celebrations are held in the Austrian capital Vienna on Monday and Tuesday with all partners including ministers, policymakers and representatives from international agencies, the Private Sector and civil society attending.
Nasr tackled challenges and success strategies of Egypt and the African continent in achieving sustainable development, topped by an Egyptian ambitious program for economic and social reform.
Egypt has several promising chances through the Suez Canal Development Axis, she said, adding the government exerts strenuous efforts to create appropriate environment for investments and more job opportunities.
On the sidelines of celebrations, the Egyptian official met with a number of high-profile officials including
Director-General of UNIDO Li Yong to discuss vistas of cooperation with Egypt.
