Egypt's International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr arrived in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, Tuesday.
Nasr, who also serves as Egypt's Governor to the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), will lead the Egyptian delegation to the 41st annual meeting of the IDB's Board of Governors, slated for May 17 to 19.
IDB officials and Egypt's Ambassador in Jakarta Bahaa Desoki received Nasr upon arrival at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, a statement by the International Cooperation Ministry reported.
The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is a multilateral development financing institution located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1973 by the finance ministers at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and began its activities on 20 October 1975. There are 56 shareholding member states.
On the 22 May 2013, IDB tripled its authorized capital to $150 billion to better serve Muslims in member and non-member countries. The IDB is an observer at the United Nations General Assembly.
