Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ashraf el Shihy inaugurated on Tuesday a meeting of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) with a number of African education ministers attending.
In statements at the opening ceremony, Shihy hoped further development and progress will be achieved in the African continent, saying the meeting is important as it focuses on upgradingv the quality of education, applying state-of-the-art technology and achieving economic boom in Africa.
The meeting aims to finalize the preparations for the ADEA 2017 that will take place in Marrakesh from March 15 until March 17.
The Morocco-hosted meeting will be held to revitalize education toward the 2030 Global Agenda and Africa’s Agenda 2063.
Egypt will chair ADEA meetings for two years.
