H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on Saturday inspected preparations at the Yas Island which will host the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Yas Island, the UAE’s premier entertainment destination, is set to host thousands of visitors for the eighth annual race.
Taking place from 25th to 27th November, the race is the Middle East’s biggest international sporting event and the only twilight race on the F1 calendar.
During a visit to the operations room, Sheikh Hazza viewed the security plan and new measures inside the circuit and its surroundings including movement of fans in stands and traffic flow on roads leading to the circuit.
