Georgia is closely following up the implementation of the economic reform plan adopted by the Egyptian government, said Georgian Ambassador to Egypt Alexander Nalbandov.
Georgia has successfully implemented the sustainable economic development, he said, adding that it managed also to confront corruption and create a climate conducive to investment.
In exclusive statements to MENA Tuesday, the ambassador said that Egypt is considered one of the most important partners for Georgia in the economic and investment spheres.
''We are ready for cooperation with Egypt in the investment sphere in light of efforts exerted by the Georgian government to create an attractive investment climate,'' he added.
The Georgian Embassy in Cairo will work within the upcoming years on promoting cooperation with Egypt in the various spheres, he added.
Egypt and Georgia celebrate this year the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties, he added.
He, meanwhile, said that Egypt was the first Arab country to open an embassy in Georgia in 1998.
