Sudan on Tuesday underlined its commitment to implement the pledges contained in the five process and to achieve peace in the country as agreed upon by the Sudan and USA.
The First Vice President of the Republic and the Federal Prime Minister, Lt. Gen Barki Hassan Salih received the US Agency for International Development USAD Chairman, Ambassador Mark Green who is currently vising the country for assessment of the implementation of the five tracks set in the agreement between the Sudan and the US administration.
Professor Ibrahim Ghandour pointed out following the meeting between the First Vice President and the visiting USAID official that Mr. Green said his country is keen to have relations with Sudan and looks beyond the revoking of sanctions, regarding the involvement and participation in the regional and other international questions.
He said the meeting with the USAID official touched on the five tracks and talks held with Sudanese officials as well as visit by USAID official to North Darfur State.
He said the First vice president has reaffirmed Sudan's commitment to the international resolutions that are issued by the UN Security Council and that Khartoum works to create normal and strong relations with the USA and in the interest of the two people, well beyond the October deadline.
