Abu Dhabi - Arab Today
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan arrived here today for an official visit to the UAE.
He was welcomed at the Presidential Flight Airport by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in a ceremony where the national anthems of both the countries were played and a 21-gun salute was fired by the artillery.
President Sargsyan is accompanied by a delegation including the Minister of Foreign Affairs Eduard Nalbandian, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Armen Gevorgyan, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Armenian Ambassador to the UAE Gegham Gharibjanian and others.
Senior UAE officials who were present at the ceremony included Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and head of the honorary mission accompanying the Armenian president; Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs; Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei; Ali Majed Al Mansouri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Jassim Al Qasimi, Ambassador of the UAE to Armenia; Lt. General Isa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Major General Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bowardi Al Falasi, Adviser to Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Force, and other senior officials.
