"Marada" party leader, MP Sleiman Franjieh, welcomed on Wednesday evening Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister

"Marada" party leader, MP Sleiman Franjieh, welcomed on Wednesday evening Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hussein Jaberi Ansari, who visited him in the company of Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Fathali. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Works and Transportation Minister, Youssef Fenianos.

"This meeting was a good opportunity to exchange views on various political and security developments at the local, regional, and international levels, as well as at the level of good bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries," Ansari said.

"We tackled the looming challenges at this stage and the best means to confront them. Of course, we also emphasized the imminent danger posed by the Zionist entity. We believe that for the past few years, there has also been an imminent danger, which is the extremist Takfiri terrorist groups that have been shaking the Arab and Islamic nations; therefore, we must all unite to stop this rampant threat," Iran's Ansari added.

He went on to highlight another major problem in the Arab world which he said was the lack of reconciliation, dialogue, and convergence in dealing with regional crises."Resorting to arms and fighting is causing great harm to the peoples of this region and its countries," he warned.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, through its strategic and established policy, is always working to find favorable political conditions in order to reach partnership, cooperation, rapprochement and reconciliation in order to resolve all the crises that are still pending, Ansari said about the main message that he aimed to deliver during his Lebanon visit.

"We affirm that Lebanon has become a model in two main areas. The first is the resistance and the power to curb the greed of power countries. The other area is that of convergence, national unity, and internal partnership," he added, expressing hope that the countries of the region will follow suit
