H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, inaugurated the fourth edition of the Emirates Economic Planning Forum 2017 in Ajman today.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, was also present at the event.

The forum was organised by the Ajman Department of Economic Development with strategic support from the Ministry of Economy and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development under the slogan, 'Overseeing the future in light of new economic changes'.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid said that the UAE had the potential to move forward with confidence to keep up with the world’s economies, using economic programmes and methodologies that would enable it to face obstacles derailing the journey of economic development, with the help of government strategies and plans under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who are always seeking to provide investors and economists with all the opportunities, facilities and incentives.

Their initiatives reflect their keenness to make the UAE one of the most advanced nations in all areas, as they believe that knowledge, economy and investment constitute the key cornerstone for the nation’s renaissance, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid continued.

During the inauguration, the Ajman Ruler emphasised that the subjects that the economic forum would discuss were in line with the developments and the economic growth taking place in all fields in the UAE and across the world. He affirmed the keenness of the emirate to contribute efficiently to the comprehensive renaissance process in the UAE, especially in the economic areas.

He added that the suggestions and recommendations resulting from this forum would contribute to making the right decisions related to the economic development of the UAE. He confirmed the keenness of the Ajman Government to achieve the goals of the UAE government to strengthen human development, build national human resources and train them to achieve sustainable development and improvement in all vital economic sectors.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development; Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ajman Ruler’s Representative for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Chairman of Ajman Department of Economic Development; Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department; Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department; Sheikh Dr. Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Ruler’s Court; Saif Mohammed Al Hajeri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, and several other senior officials and representatives.

The Emirates Economic Planning Forum 2017, which was held at the Emirates Hospitality Centre Hall, started with a tour by Sheikh Humaid, his escorts, as well as the audience in the pavilions of the exhibition associated with the Forum.
