Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed left for Berlin on Wednesday to attend the ninth World Forum for Food and Agriculture.
In press statements before leaving, Fayed said the forum, to run till January 21, will focus on water issues in general, especially the availability of water resources to serve agricultural activities.
The conference will also discuss drought and water quality problems.
On the sidelines of the conference, Fayed will meet with his German counterpart to mull cooperation in the agricultural and animal production and ways of benefiting from German technology in water rationalization, climate change and new agricultural communities.
The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture is an International Conference organized by Germany on the subject "Agriculture and Water - Key to Feeding the World". Agriculture ministers of 65 countries will attend the event.
