Salma and Karim are now back with their mother

A Finnish mother has won a court battle against her Moroccan ex-husband, who had kidnapped their two children back in August.
A Moroccan court in Khemisset, east of Rabat, ordered
the return of the two children to their mother, currently living in Turku, Finland.
The children Karim and Salma, were taken to Morocco by their father in August when they were meant to be spending the weekend with him as part of the shared custody agreement.
Their father — a university professor — had passports forged to bring his children into Morocco.
The incident is reminiscent of a similar case which sparked a diplomatic dispute between Morocco and Norway three years ago. A Norwegian woman, who had been married to Olympic champion Khaled Skah, managed to take her children out of Morocco with the help of the Swedish embassy in Rabat.
Morocco considered the incident a violation of diplomatic conventions and demanded that the Norwegian government launch an investigation.
