Zayed University in Abu Dhabi

Zayed University in Abu Dhabi Zayed University has been accredited for the second time by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), one of six regional accrediting bodies in the United States. The university was first accredited by the MSCHE in 2008. Though the regular review process runs on a ten year cycle, after initial accreditation, institutions are required to complete a full self-study every five years. Zayed University has recently completed its 2013 Self-Study.
D. Maytha bint Salem al-Shamsi, Minister of State, and President of Zayed University, said the university owes its success to the support extended by the leaders of our nation.
She said the accreditation is attributed to the support extended to the development of the educational system by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highness the rulers of the emirates, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
She also praised the efforts of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al-Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and the founder of the UAE higher education system.
Al-Shamsi affirmed that the university seeks quality in all its academic, administrative and scientific procedures.
The Zayed University says it is currently pursuing an aggressive programme of specialised accreditations for five of its departments and colleges. It expects that over the next few years, the additional accreditations will further evince the quality of the institution and its academic programmes.
