Nilay Ozral, director of Aldar Academies, told The National that the extended scholarship would allow al-Hassani to complete all stages of primary education at the school.
The boy was given a tour of the school after the draw. "Hamdan is really excited about being here today," his father Khalfan al-Hassani said, "we're all looking forward to him joining," he added.
Al Ain International School opened in 2011 and offers the British national curriculum.
