Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received this evening at Al Bahr Palace Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama who is currently on a visit to the UAE.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Albanian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation and expressed the hope that his visit would contribute in furthering ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in economic, developmental and commercial fields.
Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE was looking forward to exchange views on the best means for fruitful cooperation and for realising the common goal of creating partnerships, benefiting from the potentials available in the two countries.
Edi Rama said he was delighted with his visit to the UAE and his meeting with Sheikh Mohamed to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation. He praised the progress made by the UAE in different domains.
The meeting also touched on current regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
Sheikh Mohamed and Edi Rama witnessed signing of an agreement on the exemption of entry visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports on reciprocal basis and a Memorandum of Understanding on environment. The agreement and the MOU were signed by the UAE Foreign Minister, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his Albanian counterpart, Ditmir Bushati.
