French ambassador in Algeria André Parant The French ambassador in Algeria André Parant has disclosed plans to arrange a meeting between French and Algerian officials before the end of the year , in a bid to increase trade cooperation between the two states.
His statement coincided with National France Day on July 14.
Parant said that there had been significant development in French-Algerian relations, after French President Francois Hollande signed the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighbourhood and Cooperation in Algiers in May.
The French diplomat claimed a strong relationship with Algeria would help France tackle several regional and international challenges.
Parant emphasised the importance of the French-Algerian cooperation in dealing with the financial crisis. He praised the notable progress in the economic relations between the two states, pinpointing the success of the Industrial Partnership Forum during Hollande\'s trip to Algiers in May.
The diplomat said he was looking forward to seeing both the French and Algerian governments making the most of their trade agreements, adding that France would create more job opportunities for Algerian youth.
Parrant also thanked the people of Algeria for making National France Day during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
