Nour el Tayeb has become the first Egyptian to win the title of the US Open Squash Championship that took place at the Drexel University in Philadelphia.

She defeated her fellow Raneem El Welily 3-2 in the final game.

Tayeb passed England's world No. 4 Laura Massaro 3-1 in the semi-final, and world No. 1 Nour El Sherbini in the quarter-finals.
