ISIS extremist group evacuated its headquarters and withdrew from the streets and roads in the districts of Mousl’s right bank, as anti-extremism troops prepare for launching their attack to liberate the rest of the city from the grip of the extremist group.

Military leader of Anti-Extremism troops Maan Al Saadi said that the Iraqi troops wait the weather stability to resume their operations to cleanse the city’s right bank. He stressed that the military operations should continue for at least seven days to pave the way for the security forces to reach to the edge of the city and to achieve military accomplishments.

He blamed the bad weather for delaying the military operations, saying that they were scheduled to be launched on Saturday. He added that they still prepare for the coming operation to cleanse the city from the extremist militants.

According to local residents, International Coalition’s fighter jets intensified their raids on ISIS strongholds in Mousl’s right bank, forcing the militants to evacuate their headquarters and to withdraw from the streets and crossroads in the city.

In the same context, clashes erupted between national security authorities and terrorist cells loyal to ISIS in the ‘liberated eastern side of the city, as the Iraqi forces besieged a number of districts in the city and inspected the housing buildings there

Security official Selwan Oweid Al Khaledi revealed that armed people were taking shelter in one of the housing buildings, as they shot the security forces who exchanged fire with them. He added that the security refused to use the heavy weapons during that clashes that continued for 30 minutes not to harm the civilians.
