Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Hisham el-Demery met on Friday with a number of top tour operators in Ukraine on the sidelines of the Ukraine International Travel Market (UITM) currently held in Kiev.

Ukraine is a very promising market for Egypt in tourism sector, Demery asserted during the meeting. He also underlined Egypt’s keenness on enhancing the tourism file.

He also pointed out at Pope Francis blessing to the Holy Family journey as well as Egypt’s efforts to put the Holy Family’s route in Egypt on the world map of religious tourism.

He also mentioned Egypt's efforts to activate issuing e-visas. He underlined the recent report issued by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in which Egypt was ranked as the world's second fastest growing tourist destination for 2017.
