The Saudi Minister of Transport, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Railways Organisation and Saudi Railways Company (SAR) Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi took Haramain Express Train for its first full trip.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, it is the first journey along a 450 km route from Madinah station to the passenger station in Makkah to set the readiness of the project before the commercial operation of the service.
