Czech Ambassador in Cairo Veronika Kuchynová has said her country did not impose a travel ban for Egypt.
In a statement Monday night at a celebration marking the Czech national day, she added that planes are travelling from Prague and other Czech cities to Egypt carrying Czech nationals to spend their vacation in Egypt.
The Czech stance, she noted, constitutes a contribution to fighting terrorism, she said, adding that relations between the two countries are excellent.
She further expressed appreciation for the sacrifices extended by Egyptian army and police who are shouldering the responsibility for fighting terrorism in North Sinai.
These sacrifices do not go in vain, she, said, asserting that they keep Egypt as well as Europe safe.
Attending the reception were ambassadors accredited here and several top-ranking officials.
