The Egyptian film Asmaa has won the golden prize in the Eastern Film Festival in Geneva, bringing the number of awards that the film has collected so far to 15. The film won an award for Best Arab Director in the New Horizons competition in the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival. Asmaa also won Best Arab Actor at the same festival, along with the Women Cinema Prize at a film festival in Belguim.
