Suicide Squad officially wrapped production ahead of its Aug. 5, 2016 release Thursday.
Director David Ayer announced the news with photos of the cast and crew on Twitter, writing, "It's a wrap folks! #SuicideSquad #WarnerBros #DCComics." Actors Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman and Cara Delevingne were among those pictured.
Kinnaman, who will portray Rick Flagg in the film, also shared a snapshot from the celebration. "Last night with the #skwad," he wrote. "It feels like 10 years has gone by, and at the same time like we just got here. Usually feel lifted when I finish a project but these people cut deep."
Robbie had tattooed Ayer in her Harley Quinn costume ahead of the wrap last week, while co-star Will Smith inked Kinnaman and Jai Courtney. The trio were among the cast and crew to commemorate their time on set with a matching "SKWAD" tattoo.
Suicide Squad will feature Delevingne as Enchantress, Smith as Deadshot, Courtney as Boomerang and Jared Leto as the Joker. The movie follows the titular team of antiheroes as they perform dangerous missions for the U.S. government in exchange for commuted prison sentences.
