Actress Lindsay Lohan will step behind the microphone to make an unexpected appearance on Duran Duran's newest studio album.
For months, there's been speculation and rumors of her involvement after she posted an Instagram photo with her sister Ali with Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes. Warner Bros. Records confirmed Lohan and the British band collaborated on Paper Gods, set for release in the United States on Sept. 18.
The new album will also include singer and songwriter Janelle Monae, former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante and violinist Davide Rossi.
"We've allowed ourselves the time to make music that we can be proud of," Le Bon said. "I judge what we release by my favourite albums -- Horses, Harvest, Let It Bleed, Blue, Transformer, Aladdin Sane. Those are classic albums. The only rule is it's got to be music you can live with for the rest of your life."
Lohan's mother Dina told Newsday, "Lindsay's like the chorus and Ali's, like, rocking with them. It was awesome."
