Confident, the fifth studio album from recording artist Demi Lovato, is set for release Oct. 16.
The CD will feature production by Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Steve Mac, Jason Evigan, Wolf Cousins, Savan Kotecha and Stargate.
It marks Lovato's first album release through a creative partnership between Hollywood Records, Island Records and Safehouse Records, a label she created with Nick Jonas and their manager Phil McIntyre.
Lovato is scheduled to perform her hit song "Cool for the Summer" at Sunday's 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. She is booked to follow up that appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live's outdoor stage Monday.
Demi’s version itself is really good. She interprets it more as a love song than Idina Menzel does in the film, where her character Elsa flees the kingdom out of fear. Demi is able to infuse the song with passion and strength, and makes it her own. It’s worth noting that Demi’s version is quite different from the movie version. It has a different structure and vastly different lyrics (which you can read below). Both the movie and the pop versions were written by husband and wife, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
