Bryan Cranston returns to the silver screen as Spartacus and Roman Holiday screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in new film Trumbo.
Trumbo was famously blacklisted from the film industry in the 1940s due to his political beliefs after refusing to testify to the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
The trailer highlights the government's investigation looking to root out Communist sympathizers in Hollywood. In response to being blacklisted, Trumbo turned to writing screenplays secretly under a pseudonym and was publicly credited with Exodus and Spartacus in 1960.
"If we get one big movie, we can get all the big movies," Cranston notes in the trailer.
Directed by Jay Roach, the star studded cast includes Helen Mirren as Trumbo's nemesis, columnist Hedda Hopper, along with Elle Fanning, Diane Lane, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg and Louis C.K.
Fandango premiered the Trumbo trailer on YouTube.
