Turkish Airlines announced in a statement on Tuesday it plans to resume its flights to Sharm el-Sheikh starting September 10, 2016.

The Turkish Embassy in Cairo said Wednesday that Turkish Airlines will resume flights between Istanbul and Sharm el Sheikh as of September 10.

The move comes after a suspension that started 10 months ago.

The Turkish flag carrier will fly four planes on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays every week, according to an embassy statement.

Turkish Airlines has been chosen as “Europe's Best Airline” for the sixth consecutive years in the 2016 Skytrax World Airlines Awards.
