A Minya criminal court on Monday adjourned till August 9 the trial of 22 lawyers who are accused of insulting the judiciary.

Chairman of the Bar Association Sameh Ashour led the defense team.

In April 2013, lawyers clashed with a Judge in a Minya court and 24 of them were referred to a criminal court over charges of rioting, causing chaos, disrupting work in a judicial facility, assaulting a Judge and insulting the judiciary.
