Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani is due in the Russian capital on Saturday.
On Tuesday, Spokesman for the Libyan government Mohamed Bazaza told Sputnik news agency that a number of pending issues would be discussed during the visit, especially contracts of armament and Russian investments in Libya.
The visit would open a new phase of relations between the two states, especially in the military domain, he said.
