German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will arrive here Sunday in an official two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

Steinmeier's visit will include holding talks with his Saudi counterpart Adel al Jubeir and several senior Saudi officials in addition to the secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, according to the Saudi newspaper of Aljazeera.

The visit of the German FM comes within Steinmeier's tour in the region which also includes Tehran and Jordan.

Steinmeier's talks in Saudi Arabia will also include the situation in Yemen and means to find solutions for the Syrian crisis and ending violence there.
