German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will meet with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Berlin Wednesday, the German Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The two top diplomats will discuss ways of boosting bilateral ties as well as regional issues topped by international efforts to reach peace in Syria and Libya and the situation in the Middle East, it added.

Earlier in the day, Shoukry arrived in Berlin on a four-day visit for talks with senior German officials.
