Chinese leader Xi Jinping will on May 8-10 visit Russia, where he will attend festive events on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s Victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said Monday.
Lu said that prior to the visit to Russia, paid on an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi will visit Kazakhstan. From Moscow, he will go to Belarus on a state visit.
The visit to Kazakhstan on an invitation from President Nursultan Nazarbayev will take place May 5-7, and the visit to Belarus will take place on an invitation from President Alexander Lukashenko May 10-12.
