The Arab League Council will hold its 146th session at the Arab foreign ministers' level on September 8 under Tunisia's chairmanship.
The ministerial council meeting will be preceded by the meetings at the permanent delegates' level on September 6-7.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, AL Deputy Secretary General Ahmed bin Heli underlined the importance of this session, saying that it will tackle the latest regional developments along with the crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq and the Palestinian cause.
The meeting will also discuss issues related to preserving Arab national security, combating terrorism and Arab cooperation with the regional and international blocs, he added.
It will further discuss a report prepared by the Arab ministerial committee related to Iran's meddling in internal affairs in the Arab countries, he further said.
Talking about the Palestinian cause, bin Heli said that UNRWA Commissioner-General Pierre Krahenbuhl will deliver a speech before the Arab ministerial meeting on the budget deficit in the UNRWA and the importance of continuing support to provide services to the Palestinian refugees.
The Arab foreign ministers will discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and the Arab-Israeli conflict, with all its developments, along with the efforts of the Arab ministerial mini-committee in charge of maneuvering the international arena in support of the Palestinian cause, he went on to say.
