Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will arrive in India Monday on a five-day visit aimed at bolstering bilateral ties in a range of areas, including trade and investment, sources said Saturday.

"During his tour, the Singaporean Prime Minister, who will be leading a delegation of Ministers, will hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on a the agenda is furthering bilateral ties," the sources said.

Lee will also call on Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj during his visit in the national capital, the sources said, adding that he will also visit Udaipur town in the northern state of Rajasthan on October 5 to 6, before wrapping up his tour.

The Indian Prime Minister visited Singapore last year during which the two countries elevated their relations to strategic partnership by signing an agreement.

Modi's visit had also commemorated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and India in 2015, and underscored the excellent and longstanding ties between the two countries.
