Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will head for Turkey on Thursday to discuss ways of combating terrorism in Syria and the necessary political settlement on the basis of international law. 

Lavrov intends to pay a visit to Turkey on Thursday to discuss combating terrorism in Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday. 

Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart will discuss a range of regional and international issues, added the statement.
