Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar el Abadi will be taking part in meetings of the UN General Assembly.
Abadi arrived in New York earlier Monday to attend an international conference on fighting terrorism and supporting Iraq.
Abadi is scheduled to hold talks with leaders of countries taking part in the UNGA meetings on means of boosting bilateral relations and facing political, security and economic challenges, the premier's media office said.
They will also discuss efforts to fight the terrorist gangs of Daesh, the media office added.
