Tehran - ArabToday
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will make formal trips to Kuwait and Oman on Wednesday, Tehran Times daily reported on Tuesday.
He is expected to mainly focus on the reconciliation mission between Iran and the Arab states during his two-day trip.
Rouhani will meet Oman's Sultan Qaboos in Muscat on Wednesday before heading to Kuwait to hold talks with Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati was quoted as saying.
In January, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Sabah made a visit to Tehran to deliver a message to Rouhani on a "basis of dialogue" between Arab states and Iran.
Following that, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said the Iranian government was mulling a response to the reconciliation overture.
Relations between Iran and some Arab states have deteriorated over the past years over the ongoing conflicts in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain.
They have accused Iran of interfering in the internal affairs of some Arab states. Iran has denied the charges.
