Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will visit Cairo on Tuesday leading a big delegation of businessmen.

In statements to MENA, Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo Peter Kveck said that Orbán will confer with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on means to boost cooperation in the different domains along with international issues of mutual interest.

The visit comes to resume talks conducted by Sisi during his visit to Budapest last June, he said.

During his three-day visit, Orbán will meet with Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby, Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb and Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese, Kveck said.

Orbán will attend the inauguration of the Egyptian-Hungarian business forum which will tackle means to boost economic and trade cooperation and implement mutual projects.

A number of agreements will be inked during the visit, the ambassador said.

Kveck voiced hope that the number of Egyptian tourists visiting his country increase.

Responding to a question on Egyptian efforts to combat terror, the Hungarian ambassador asserted his country's appreciation of and support for the efforts of the Egyptian army and police in combating terrorism.
