Minister of Health Adel Adawi received on Tuesday Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and his accompanying delegation. A statement released Tuesday by the Ministry said Adawi discussed with the Russian delegation means of beefing up cooperation in the health domain, drawing on the Russian expertise in establishing hospitals for the serums and blood types as well as the manufacture of medical appliances. They also probed opening the Russian markets before the Egyptian pharmaceutical companies and registering the Egyptian medicines in Russia. The two sides agreed on forming joint committee from the top officials in the two countries' health ministries to discuss three important files; namely the Russian-Egyptian investment projects in the field of therapeutic tourism, training medical teams in the Russian hospitals and scholarships for Egyptian medical students in Russia.
