Egyptian FM Sameh Shoukri

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry currently in New York met on Tuesday with China's permanent envoy and current president of the UN Security Council (UNSC) to discuss the latest developments in Libya after 21 Egyptian national were beheaded there.
Shoukry also held meetings with the permanent envoys of France and Malaysia to the UNSC, said spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aaty.
During the meetings, the top diplomat warned of the mounting threats of terrorism in the world, especially in Libya.
He urged the international community, especially the UNSC, to shoulder its responsibility towards the deteriorating situation in Libya, which poses threats to international peace and security.
The French and Malaysian envoys stressed their countries' support for Egypt against terrorism.
