Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa heads on Monday to Astana leading a senior delegation on a four-day visit to Kazakhstan.

During the visit, he will meet with a number of officials, ministers and scholars from a number of countries.

Gomaa will also attend an International Conference titled “Religions against Terrorism” and organized by the Kazakh government with the participation of delegations from different states.

Gomaa will lead the Egyptian side to the meeting of the board of trustees of the Egyptian university for Islamic culture affiliated to the Kazakh Awqaf Ministry.

He will also participate in an international conference on the role of Islamic educational institutes in fighting religious extremism.
