Arab League chief to visit Sudan on Thursday

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit will pay a visit Thursday to Sudan. 

In statements on Wednesday, Sudan's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League Abdul Mahmoud Abdul Halim said the visit is very important and reflects the importance of Sudan as an Arab country. 

Abul Gheit is expected to hold important talks with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on the upcoming Arab summit's agenda, especially those that are related to the Arab national security, Abdul Halim noted.
