Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali received Friday Greek Ambassador to Egypt Michael Diamessis on labor issues including the transfer of pensions of Egyptians under a deal signed between Cairo and Athens.

Applications for transferring pensions of Egyptian workers in Greece and those of Greeks in Egypt will go ahead, according to the agreement which is valid until December.

Wali stressed the necessity of speeding up the transfer of pensions of urgent cases as death, retirement and disability.

A bilateral committee will be formed to consider the rest of a nearly 2000 applications. The panel is due to start works later in October.
