Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed on Friday discussed with Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs Minister Nabila Makram the topic of "the holy family’s journey to Egypt".
At the meeting, the tourism minister stressed that his ministry is deeply interested in this topic as one of the most important products that can help restore the culture tourism to Egypt.
The minister also reviewed ongoing efforts to develop and market the route of the journey, saying that a specialized committee was formed to that end.
The Virgin Mary, Joseph and Jesus found safety and shelter in Egypt after they escaped King Herod in Palestine.
