President Abdul Fatah El Sisi received Wednesday a verbal message from his Chadian counterpart Idriss Deby on means of boosting the bilateral relations.
The message was conveyed by Chad’s Foreign Minister Ibrahim Hussein Taha during his meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zied said.
Taha underscored the importance of benefiting from the latest visit by Sisi to Chad, and following up its outcome to boost the bilateral ties in various fields, especially economy and terrorism-combat.
Shoukry stressed Sisi’s appreciation to Deby as one of the African wise leaders, stressing that the Egyptian Foreign Ministry was coordinating with different national agencies to follow up mutual cooperation programs.
Cairo is interested in encouraging the Egyptian investments and projects in Chad, Shoukry said, especially in the livestock to meet meat demands in the north African country.
The meeting also touched on discussing the regional developments and Chad’s support to Egypt’s nominee Mushira Khattab for the post of UNESCO director general.
