Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Saturday held a meeting with member of the Bundestag and Christian Social Union Alexander Radwan to discuss latest political and economic developments in Egypt.
Shoukry briefed the lawmaker about the economic reform program adopted by the Egyptian government and the IMF's $12 billion loan in addition to its affect on the economy, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
During their meeting, Shoukry said Cairo eyes German's support to achieve goals of its reform plan, the spokesman said.
The Foreign Minister asserted Egypt's keenness on boosting German investments, saying it eyes increase in the future.
The lawmaker exchanged views with the top diplomat on the latest developments in Syria, Libya and Iraq, the spokesman added.
Also, they reviewed efforts exerted to revive peace negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians, the spokesman said.
Radwan hailed Cairo's successful efforts to reach stability and maintain stability, Abu Zeid noted.
