Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Sunday with members of the various ranks of the Egyptian diplomatic corps.

The meeting came as part of several gatherings held by Shoukry with the ministry's members to follow up the activity of the ministry's various sectors.

Shoukry hailed the role exerted by the Foreign Ministry at the regional and international levels, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati.

He also underlined the important role played by the ministry in defending Egypt's interests abroad and restoring the country's regional and international role.
