HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani met here today, at his residence with US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter.
At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Emir congratulated Carter on the occasion of assuming his new job, and wished him success in the performance of his duties.
The meeting reviewed areas of joint cooperation, particularly in military spheres , and discussed a number of regional and international issues, especially the developments in the region.
The meeting was attended by their excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
