Qatar's assistant FM for foreign affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi

HE Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi met Monday with NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow, who is currently visiting the country to attend the annual NATO Conference on Weapons of Mass Destruction, Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-proliferation 2015.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to disarmament which aims to reach the desired goals and achieve a quantum leap in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation.
HE Al Rumaihi explained that the achievement of peace and security in the region depends on States' cooperation and their commitment to the resolutions of international legitimacy, while saying the conference represents a very important step in this regard.
He stressed the importance of taking effective measures to contribute to the promotion of world peace through constant eagerness to fulfill their pledges to the maintenance of international peace and security.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.
