Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz met here Thursday with visiting French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault. 
The French minister also met earlier today with his Mauritanian counterpart. 
During the two meetings, the two sides discussed issues of common interest.
